Description
The natural beauty of wood and the elegance of steel are combined to stunning effect in the Shrewsbury. They are, without doubt, a magnificent pair of gates that will give a contemporary feel to any property.
Shrewsbury gates are built from high quality, vertical tongue-and-groove wooden boards within a sturdy 70mm framework, all smooth-planed, inset with panels of sweeping black steel bars. Traditional mortise and tenon joints are used to ensure maximum strength, rigidity and longevity.
Only managed forest Scandinavian redwood is used in the manufacture of our gates, as part of our commitment to protecting the environment. We supply our gates as natural wood or finished with an optional wood stain. Please see the options menu for prices and colours.
Please note – the steel bars in these gates are powder coated, which is not a guaranteed finish, so they may require future treatment to prevent rusting.

Please Note: All wooden posts are subject to splitting over tine, this is unfortunately a nature of timber, subject to weather conditions, however does not usually affect the integrity or strength of the wooden post. We will always review each issue on a case by case basis but a splitting post is not an automatic reason for a claim to replace the post. The customer purchases the post knowing the risks of using wood.
