Description
*** Hanging style is from roadside looking into the property***
Its distinctive profile makes our County wooden farm gate a favourite with our customers, gracing homes, farms and many properties in a variety of locations up and down the UK. Based on the classic five-bar gate, the County’s hanging stile curves beyond the gate’s 4′ closing stile to give it its signature look. On wider gates there is an extended diagonal wooden bar that connects this curved stile to its opposite corner, adding to the gate’s strength.
Each County wooden farm gate is handmade using traditional mortise and tenon joints to ensure maximum strength, rigidity and longevity. All wood is smooth-planed. Available in a range of width sizes, why not hang a narrow model alongside a wider model for separate vehicle and pedestrian access, as shown?
As part of our commitment to protecting the environment, we use only managed forest Scandinavian redwood in the manufacture of our wooden gates.
Timber gates are supplied untreated as standard, must be painted / treated with a good quality wood treatment after fitting. We can supply your gates with an optional wood stain, see the Options menu. (all wooden gates need to be inspected at least once a year for wear and treated / painted to ensure long life)

Please Note: All wooden posts are subject to splitting over tine, this is unfortunately a nature of timber, subject to weather conditions, however does not usually affect the integrity or strength of the wooden post. We will always review each issue on a case by case basis but a splitting post is not an automatic reason for a claim to replace the post. The customer purchases the post knowing the risks of using wood.
