Description
The Bordeaux garden gate is a stylish combination of wood with zinc plated steel bars, providing a stunning entranceway to any property.
Bordeaux gates are handmade from vertical tongue-and-groove wooden boards within a super-strong framework, all smooth-planed, inset with zinc-plated steel bars which are black in colour. (The metal inserts may need to be painted after about 12 months, possibily sooner if in a coastal environment to prevent rusting) Time-proven mortise and tenon joints are used for maximum rigidity, strength and durability. They are available as standard as right hand hanging (R) as viewed from the roadside but can be supplied as left hand hanging (L) on request (please call our sales team).
We use Scandinavian redwood in the manufacture of our gates, as part of our commitment to protecting the environment. We supply our gates as natural wood or finished with an optional quality wood stain. Please see the options menu for prices and colours.
Made-to-Measure sizes available.

Please Note: All wooden posts are subject to splitting over tine, this is unfortunately a nature of timber, subject to weather conditions, however does not usually affect the integrity or strength of the wooden post. We will always review each issue on a case by case basis but a splitting post is not an automatic reason for a claim to replace the post. The customer purchases the post knowing the risks of using wood.
